WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, EXISTING IN THREE PERSONS (TRINITY OR TRI-UNITY):

The Father

Genesis 1:1-3
In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, let there be light: and there was light.

The Word/Son, Jesus

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.

The Holy Ghost

John 14:15-17
If you love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

II Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.  Amen.

 I John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

WE BELIEVE IN THE DEITY AND LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST, WE BELIEVE THAT HE IS:

God in the flesh

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The Lamb that takes away the sin of the world

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Lord over the Church

Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

WE BELIEVE IN THE SALVATION OF MANKIND THROUGH CONFESSED FAITH:

Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus

Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Believe in your heart that God has resurrected Him

I Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

Live according to the confession of your faith

I Timothy 4:12-16
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on the hands of the presbytery.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

WE BELIEVE IN THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST AND THAT IT IS:

Subsequent to salvation

 Acts 19:2
He said unto them, have ye received the Holy Ghost, since ye believed?  And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

A necessity for every believer

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Acts 2:4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 19:6
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Essential for Kingdom-building

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Accompanied initially by the evidence of unknown tongues

I Corinthians 14:2
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Acts 10:46a
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

 Mark 16:16-17
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

WE BELIEVE THAT WATER BAPTISM IS A RITE FOR THE CHURCH.  IT IS AN OUTWARD EXPRESSION OF AN INWARD EXPERIENCE, AND IT:

Shows that the believer is dead to sin

I Peter 3:21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Shows that the old man has been buried with Christ

Romans 6:3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Shows that he has been resurrected in the newness of life

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY COMMUNION AND FEET WASHING.  THESE ARE RITES OF THE CHURCH AND:

Are a necessity of the believer - (Feet Washing)

John 13:14-15
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

Shows that you believe in and walk according to His teaching
    (Holy Communion)
I Corinthians 11:27-28
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

Show that you partake in these rites to memorialize his  death
Luke 22:19
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

WE BELIEVE THAT CHURCH FELLOWSHIP

Essential for spiritual growth
I Peter 2:1-2
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

A command of God to corporately worship together

Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

A place that is ordained by God to increase knowledge and strength
Acts 20:27-28
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE CHURCH IS TO:

Go into all the world and teach the gospel to every creature

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.

Make disciples of believers

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me in both Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Establish the Kingdom of God on Earth

Revelation 11:15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever
